Terms of service
These terms govern your use of SACO (Safe Contract), a digital platform to sign and archive private agreements. By creating an account or accepting a contract invitation you agree to them. If you don't, please don't use the service.
1. Who we are
SACO is operated by the company below ("SACO", "we").
2. What SACO is and who can use it
SACO lets you compose a contract from a template or upload your own, invite a counterparty by email, and have the signing ceremony carried out electronically by our trust service partner Tecalis. The signed PDF and audit trail are made available to you in your dashboard, and we keep them in custody for five (5) years.
You must be at least 16 years old and have capacity to contract under your local law. You're responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity on your account. If you invite a counterparty, they can sign without creating a SACO account; these terms apply to them while they're using the invitation flow.
3. Plans, pricing and payments
Plans, prices and add-ons are those published on our pricing page at the time of purchase. Prices are in euros (EUR) and include Spanish VAT where applicable. Payments are processed by Stripe (card or SEPA). Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. If a charge fails we may retry, suspend paid features, or cancel the subscription after notice.
Because the signing ceremony starts immediately after payment, we ask you to expressly consent to that immediate start and acknowledge that, under Spanish consumer law (Article 103.a TRLGDCU), you lose the right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed. If the ceremony hasn't started yet, you can request a refund within 14 days at support@saco.app.
4. Fair use
Use SACO honestly and lawfully. In particular, you must not:
- upload or send contracts with illegal, infringing, deceptive, or harmful content;
- use SACO in connection with money laundering, terrorism financing, fraud, or sanctions evasion;
- impersonate someone else or invite a counterparty without a legitimate reason;
- upload malware, probe the platform for vulnerabilities without prior written authorisation, or try to bypass rate limits and access controls;
- resell the service or build a competing service on top of it;
- use SACO where the law requires a qualified electronic signature or a notary — the signatures produced via Tecalis are advanced electronic signatures under eIDAS, not qualified signatures.
We can refuse, remove, or suspend content that breaks these rules and, where required, report it to the competent authorities.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of the contracts, documents, and data you put into SACO. You give us a limited licence to do what's needed to run the service on your behalf — rendering the PDF, transmitting it to the counterparty and to Tecalis for signature, storing it, and making the signed output and audit trail available to you.
You confirm your content is lawful, doesn't infringe third-party rights, and that you're entitled to send it for signature. SACO templates, the SACO name and the platform software are ours or our licensors'.
6. Service availability and liability
We provide SACO with reasonable care, but the service is offered on a best-effort availability basis. We don't guarantee uninterrupted operation, and we don't judge the legal enforceability of what you and your counterparty agree to — that's a matter of the contract itself.
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to what you paid us in that period. We're not liable for indirect or consequential damages or for a counterparty's breach of the underlying contract you signed through SACO. This doesn't limit mandatory consumer rights or liability that can't be limited by law.
7. Changes, governing law and contact
We may update these terms. Material changes are notified by email at least 15 days before they take effect; you can cancel your account before then if you don't accept them. The "Last updated" date at the top always reflects the current version.
These terms are governed by Spanish law, with the courts of our registered office. Consumers can also bring a claim in their country of residence and use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. Before any claim, please reach out:
